When I first started in the internet marketing business I was excited, fired up, ready to take the world by storm. My upline was so upbeat I felt like I was in the pre game huddle of a football game. As a matter of fact, you should not even talk about your product, service, opportunity, etc. until you have built a relationship and trust with your prospect or visitor.
The goal is to position yourself as an expert by providing valuable free information and being a solutions provider. By doing this and, thanks to the internet, your traffic is coming to you rather than the other way around. You have to put yourself in a different mindset and market yourself as a person rather than a business. Talk to your audience rather than at them. Talk to them as if you were friends and not strangers. What information or knowledge do you have that will ease a pain and solve a problem?
Think about what people use google for. What are they looking for? Answers, information, solutions, ways of simplifying their lives, etc. When your work from home marketing techniques show up on google search engines you have a targeted visitor looking for what you have to offer. This is much better than you chasing people down. They are coming to you asking you for more information and giving you permission to talk to them.

Using the cookie cutter website that your MLM provides for you doesn’t allow you to monetize in other ways. Its an order page that screams “buy me”. You have no way of pre selling your product, service, or becoming a solutions provider on their website.
There is more to internet network marketing than building pages. You need to know how to get traffic to your opportunity. You could have the best product and price but if you aren’t getting traffic you might as well go back to putting fliers on car windshields. You need to learn how to get quality related links to your marketing efforts to help your business get high rankings on the search engines.
